Saturday September 28, the Regina Stitchery Guild will participate in the National Stitch in Public Day at Government House in Regina. One of the Guild members will be on hand to continue with the demo stitching projects that we have been going on all summer at Government House. Come out between 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Bring what ever stitching you like to do. We will be stitching in the Sir Richard Lake room. Hope to see you there.

The first regular meeting for the 2019/2020 stitching season is this evening at 7 pm at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre –2420 Elphinstone St. There will be a short business meeting followed by refreshments and the program which is an introduction to the traditional stitching project – Casalguidi embroidery and the sketchbook project. Bring your sketchbook and stitching supplies. New members are always welcome.

Continuing with the Victorian theme we will provide instruction on how to add stitching embellishment to a crazy quilt block. All materials will be provided. Friday June 28, 2019 is the last day to join the gang for coffee and stitching at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre. Stitching will resume at this location in September. The Regina Stitchery Guild will be presenting a stitching demonstration at Government from 1:30 – 3:00 pm in the Sir Richard Lake Hall. The project on Sunday May 26 is an embroidered hand towel. Using vintage transfer pages, the design will be transferred onto the fabric and traditional embroidery stitches will be used to work the thread over the design. The Regina Stitchery Guild AGM and Tea will be held at Government House on Sunday June 23rd from 2-4 pm. Tickets are $20.00 per person. Non members are welcome. Work on your own project, or make something to be sent to our troops overseas at Christmas. The Balance and Composition workshop will be held Sunday May 5th in the boardroom at the The Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association office located at 2255 13th Avenue in Regina.
