Friday Morning Stitching group potluck

The Friday morning stitching group will hold a Christmas potluck lunch on Friday, December 7, 2017. Everyone is welcome.  Friday morning stitching is hosted by the Regina Stitchery Guild in the stitching room at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Center.  Coffee is on at 9:30.  Bring  something to add to the potluck. You must bring your own plate and cutlery and don’t forget to bring something to display for ‘Show and Tell’.

Learn the free hand embroidery techniques, how to set up and manipulate the stitch as well as tips and trouble shooting.  Working from a selected photograph Monika will guide you to  understand what you are looking at in terms of executing stitch, as well as specific techniques of shading, cross hatching, blending and long and short stitches.  Go beyond simply ‘coloring in’ a picture.
